Rising Star of
the Week:
JOHAN
Johan is a homegrown rising star of AthleThink, having started his tennis journey at just 4 years old. A natural lefty, he brings a playful and creative edge to the game—often combining his love for maths on court by building pyramids of balls and applying simple concepts during training.
By age 9, Johan began competing, representing his school at the National School Games (NSG), while also playing in JTTL and STA events.
Known for his fighting spirit, he has shown impressive breakthroughs, including battling back from 1–5 to a close 4–7 tiebreak finish.
His standout achievement came in 2025, when he was awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the Tennis Championships by MOE—recognising his character, resilience, and respect for the game.
Johan’s journey reflects both heart and curiosity, making him one to watch in the years ahead.
