What to Expect During Class
During the first 12 sessions, your child will focus on building strong fundamentals — becoming comfortable with the racquet, learning the correct grip, understanding court layout and boundaries, and developing basic movement and footwork. They will also learn how to control the ball and gain a clear understanding of how the game works. Once these foundations are established, we introduce the four key strokes in tennis — forehand, backhand, volley, and serve — with emphasis on proper technique and consistency. As confidence and skill grow, training progresses into topspin control, rally development, tactical awareness, and structured match play. We use age-appropriate equipment to support learning at every stage, including lowered nets, modified court sizes, low-compression balls for easier control, and racquets suited to your child’s height and strength.
